The tin container that will hold the wax while you are melting it over a pot of boiling water can just be any ordinary tin can in your home like an old coffee tin. Make sure that you also have a wooden stick, basically any tool that will be able to help you in stirring the wax to make sure that the heat is able to evenly melt the block of wax that you are going to use for your candles. Keep on stirring the can of wax until you sense that the consistency of the melted wax is already even.
If you want to give your candles a more personal touch, have some color dyes, fragrance oils and possible adornments that you can use to give your candles a more unique touch. When it comes to put to giving your candles some color, get the dyes ready while you are preparing the wax. For a light shade of blue, green or whatever color that you may fancy, just put in a small amount of dye and stir it well into the melted wax. Keep stirring ‘till you see that the color is evenly spread out into the mixture. If you are making a scented candle, do remember to stir in the fragrance oil of your choice before while you are heating the wax so that the scent is intact as the wax starts to harden. As for your adornments, wait till the candle is slowly starting to harden before you start putting on the adornments as these will stick better. So you see, candle making isn’t such a hard thing to do, in fact once you get the hang of it will, you will eventually be able to start creating more unique designs and impress your friends and loved ones.
